Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten)

Jason Stackhouse is the sexy air-headed brother of Sookie Stackhouse. During the day, Jason is a part-time construction worker. His real job starts when night falls, working his way into the pants of every woman of Bon Temps. Word gets around fast in a small town, and Jason's little sex-capades are known by the whole town. From the very beginning of the first season, Jason is seen banging a local chick named Maudette. When shown a video of Maudette having sex with a vampire, Jason is disgusted and yet interested. Jason is also "dating" Dawn, a waitress working at Merlotte's. Since Jason thinks from the waist down, he rarely thinks about his actions very deeply, getting him constantly in a load of trouble. However, there never seems to be a shortage of women waiting to get in bed with him. Even after being accused of murder and getting involved in taking "V," the ladies just can't stay mad at him and is good looks for long.

Nurturing an impressive body of work that encompasses film and television, Ryan Kwanten has positioned himself as one of Hollywood's most promising talents as his career continues to evolve with exciting and challenging projects. Ryan's television credits include the role of Jay Robertson in critically acclaimed Warner Bros. series 'Summerland,' which ran for two reasons. He was also a lead in the ESPN original movie 'The Junction Boys.'

Segueing effortlessly between the big and small screen, Ryan recently finished working onthe Luke Kasdan feature film 'Don't Fade Away' opposite Mischa Barton. His other feature film credits include'Flicka,' a Twentieth Century Fox film in which he starred opposite Tim McGraw, Maria Bello and Alison Lohman; the title role in 'American Brown,' which received the Audience Award for Best Film at the Montreal Film Festival; 'Liquid Bridge,' nominated for Best Picture at the Australian Film Festival; and the newly released 'Dead Silence' directed by James Wan (writer/director of 'Saw').

Ryan Kwanten was born November 28, 1976 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. A native of Australia, Ryan began his acting career while attending Sydney University, where he earned a degree in business. In an interview, Ryan revealed that he was picked up by an acting agency when he was dragged along by his mom and brother on the way to swimming practice. From then on he starred in numerous feature films and television shows and gained international notoriety when he joined the cast of the long-running Australian series 'Home and Away.' A published writer, Ryan is currently working on a new book. Also an accomplished athlete, Ryan qualified for the world Biathlon in Sweden in 2005 and Italy 2007 after winning the LA biathlon series two years running. He is a qualified yoga instructor and spends his free time bike riding, surfing and completing triathlons. Ryan currently resides in Los Angeles.

I love watching Ryan Kwanten act as Jason Stackhouse in True Blood. I'm really glad that they show off his beautiful, sculpted body. He is a truly gifted actor to be able to play so many different characters in the films and shows that he's acted in. I also love how well rounded of a person he is. He is a yoga instructor, accomplished athlete, and wonderful actor. I'm a bit sad that we don't get to hear his sexy Australian accent in True blood, but he's still just as cute playing Bon Temps' Jason Stackhouse.
